DEFEAT AT PORTMAN ROAD FOR NEEDHAM MARKET WOMEN
Needham Market’s hunt for a second Suffolk County Cup title was abruptly ended by holders AFC Sudbury in a humbling 8-0 defeat in the Portman Road finale. Being a couple divisions lower it was imperative they made a good start, but it only took two minutes for the national league side to lead through Jess Allan, and they never recovered with further goals from Amy-Leigh Abrehart and a Jade Barrett howitzer. Needham were again breached at the start of a half this time through

A DRAW TO END THE LEAGUE SEASON FOR NEEDHAM MARKET WOMEN
Needham Market ended their Eastern Regional league campaign with a battling 1-1 draw away at Toby FC. The conditions were like the ones faced in September’s FA Cup match up with a very dry and bobbly pitch making passing football very difficult and causing chaos as was the case with Ellie Emmerson’s opener. In a second period like the first, Needham hit back from the penalty spot thanks to Megan McCrae-Robinson as a draw seemed a fair result in a game of few chances. The play
