WELCOME TO NEEDHAM JAMIE MAUGE

Needham Market are delighted to announce the loan signing of forward Jamie Mauge from Ipswich Town.

Jamie joined Town's Academy from the Marketmen, and has previous senior football experience, with a loan at Bury Town in January 2025.

The exciting forward, who can play anywhere across the forward line, also spent last season playing for Ipswich's U18's in the Professional Development League.

Jamie was handed his first professional contract by the Tractor Boys in June 2025, and has since made 12 appearances for Town's U21's this campaign.

Featuring heavily in both the Premier League 2 and U21 Premier League Cup (3 goals in 7 appearances), Mauge has netted 5 times across both competitions as Town sit top of the PL2 at Christmas.

Manager Tom Rothery said, "Jamie trained with us last night, met the staff and players and fitted in straight away. We are really pleased to get Jamie in he’s a really promising striker who is well thought of at Ipswich Town and regularly playing for their Under 21’s. We’ve had a few injuries over this past month so we needed somebody in and to add something and change the chemistry slightly in those forward positions is a real positive. A big thank you again to Ipswich Town, Danny Searle and Alfie Davidson. We are all looking forward to working with Jamie during this loan period."

Welcome to Needham, Jamie - who is set to make his debut at Leiston on the 27th.
