KEY INFORMATION AHEAD OF SATURDAY'S GAME VS SOUTHPORT


Saturday sees the Marketmen host their first ever Vanarama National League North fixture, when former EFL side Southport travel to the Ecologic Stadium, Bloomfields (3pm).


About The Opposition


A upmarket seaside resort famous as England’s golfing capitol including Royal Birkdale amongst its several nearby courses. The Town lies 17 miles north of Liverpool and 246 from Needham. Their home is the 6,000 capacity Big Help Stadium (PR8 6JZ) so named after a local charity. The Sandgrounders had a 57-year spell in the football league ending in 1978.


Southport finished 17th in this division last season, but have started the new campaign with a 3-1 home win over Alfreton Town, while Kevin Horlock's Needham will be looking to respond to Saturday's 3-0 defeat at Curzon Ashton.

The clubhouse and bar will be open early, showing Ipswich Town's first game back in the Premier League, (12:30pm) Food and drink available throughout the ground.


There is parking available at the ground but please be advised that the car park can fill up quickly. If parking near the ground please be respectful to local residents when parking up.
