BRADBROOK REJOINS THE MARKETMEN

Needham Market FC are delighted to announce the signing of goalkeeper James Bradbrook.

'Bradders' joins as one of the best goalkeepers in the county, having helped AFC Sudbury to safety in the last two seasons at step 3.

Bradders was previously at Needham from 2012-17, notably playing in the club's Suffolk Premier Cup triumph in 2017 as well as reaching the FA Youth Cup 1st Round, before leaving for Brightlingsea Regent, while Tom Rothery was in charge.

Bradders also represented Suffolk in his previous spell at Bloomfields.

The shot-stopper, who also includes Bury Town and Stowmarket Town among his former clubs, notably played a big part in the latter's promotion to step 4 in 2021, before joining Sudbury two years later.

James said, "I'm buzzing to be working under Tom again. Like I said, he was my manager at Brightlingsea before. We had a good time there, and yeah, just looking forward to playing football with my mates as well and hopefully get Needham promoted again."

Manager Tom Rothery said, As soon as we made the decision to change the goalkeeping position James was our number one target so to secure him early is really positive. Bradders is somebody I had at Brightlingsea when manager and he was superb for me, in the seasons since he’s gained even more experience and is a well established and solid step 3 keeper. On top of all of this he’s a great lad and knows a lot of the players in the changing room so we are all looking forward to working with him for many years to come."
