Recce Dobson Smash and Grabs a fantastic away victory with ten men after Squires is shown two yellows, to take Needham Market up to third.

Marketmen make 7 away wins thanks to second half goals from Gareth Heath and Reece Dobson.

The home side though started brightly, with a shot on the left side in the box blocked on 6 minutes, and went even closer from a corner on the right on 10 minutes. The header at the far post forced Jake Jessup to dive down to his right and push away, the rebound shot however was then cleared off the line- to the relief of the away support. Back came the Marketmen though, as Luke Ingram had a great opportunity to make it 0-1 to Needham on 11 minutes. The forward was set through down the middle, before shooting at goal only for the keeper to save well with his right foot. Smith then tried his luck from the left edge of the box on 17 minutes, but shot straight at Jessup.

Twenty minutes later, Dobson went close to putting the visitors a goal up, as he got through one-on-one in the box, but like Ingram's earlier effort, his low shot was again saved by the keeper's right foot. Ingram though picked up the rebound and shot at goal- only to be blocked by a defender. Joseph Marsden then followed up to hit wildly wide off the left post. Concannon then tried his luck from the right edge of the box, on 45 minutes, but saw his shot deflected over the bar for a corner. Two minutes into stoppage time, Tamworth were denied by excellent defending by Jake Dye.

The hosts' squared the ball across from the right, as Clement's shot in the centre was blocked wide off the right post superbly by the Needham right-back. Tamworth then had the last chance of the half a minute later, heading a cross in on the right wide at the far post, to draw a fairly level half to a close.

HALF TIME: Tamworth 0-0 Needham Market

The Marketmen started the second half lively, and opened the scoring on 47 minutes as captain Gareth Heath smashed the ball into the top right corner. That sparked the away side into searching for a second, as Marsden on the left wing set an offside Dobson through on the left hand side in the box, who shot low and wide off the far post on 48 minutes. The Suffolk side then went close to doubling their advantage on 52 minutes, as Marsden was set through kn the right in the box and fired onto the right post. The rebound then fell to Ingram at the far post, whose shot was blocked, before Kamanzi's follow up shot met the same fate.

Ingram then had another shot a minute later, this time sailing an effort over the bar from the right edge of the box. Back down the other end, ten minutes into the half Tamworth's low shot on the left-hand side in the box was certain to go in, had it not have been for a Needham man in place to clear off the line, at the far post. Sam Squire, on-loan from Cambridge United, then pushed a Tamworth man down from behind on 65 minutes for which he recieved a second yellow- to reduce Needham to ten men. The free-kick in on the right however, saw Jessup make a good save diving across to his right to palm the ball behind.

Tamworth then had a huge penalty appeal turned down on 69 minutes, before shooting wide off the near post on the left side in the box. The Lambs though continued to hunt an equalising goal on 73 minutes, as a cross in on the right was headed over the box from close range. Needham though went down the other end on 74 minutes, with Luke Ingram through on the right byline in the box but saw his shot palmed away by the diving keeper, at his near post. With 15 minutes remaining, Tamworth equalised, and looked certain to go on to make the man advantage count. The ball fell to Verma in the box who smashed a great strike into the top right corner- leaving Jessup rooted. Tamworth continued the onslaught on the Marketmen goal, this time shooting just wide off the left post from the left side inside the box on 78 minutes.

The Lambs then whipped another cross in from the right into the far post on 79 minutes, only to head straight at Jessup in the Needham goal. Reece Dobson then noticed the keeper was off his line on 81 minutes, however the forward's shot towards the right post was caught by the retreating stopper.

Needham kept the pressure on though, as Marsden then tried his luck from the left wing but hit just wide off the far post. The Marketmen then scored the winner with five minutes to play, Ingram's header on to Dobson saw the latter run through on goal. The Needham No.10 then rounded the keeper to net into the empty net, to the delight of the 17 visiting supporters. Tamworth on the other hand, for all their late pressure could only force a simple save from Jessup- trying to lob him on his goalline on 90+4 minutes. The final whistle then concluded a fantastic away success for the Marketmen, to make it 2 straight away wins on the bounce.
