The Marketmen recorded an impressive 3-1 victory on the road at Harlow Town this evening thanks to first half goals from Dan Morphew, Gareth Heath and Sam Nunn.
Reece Dobson lined-up against his former club and had the first effort in this game when his volley sailed over the crossbar with 4 minutes played.
Needham were dealt a blow on 16 minutes when Kieron Morphew limped off, with Joe Whight his replacement.
On 21 minutes, Darryl Coakley's crisp pass found Luke Ingram on the edge of the penalty area as Needham's number 9 fired narrowly wide on the turn.
The deadlock was broken 10 minutes later as Dan Morphew climbed the highest to head beyond the Hawks goalkeeper.
Gareth Heath doubled his sides advantage with a spectacular free kick on 42 minutes as Needham were rewarded for their dominant first half showing.
Sam Nunn added a third goal just before the half time whistle as Harlow's defensive frailties were highlighted. With both Morphew and Nunn on the scoresheet, and not for the first time this season, there may well be a battle on the cards for top scoring centre half!

However, on 51 minutes Harlow were handed a lifeline when Junior Dadson's cross was turned into his own net by Nunn.
Despite the hosts having greater second half possession, Needham's defence remained strong. A bad evening was compounded on 84 minutes as Craig Pope was shown a second yellow card.
