Dobsons delightful double sends Needham to The Ryman Premier summit
A goal in each half from Reece Dobson either side of an Alex Read strike proved decisive at Bloomfields this evening.
It was the hosts who began on the front foot and they rightfully broke the deadlock on 15 minutes. Luke Ingrams pass found an unmarked Dobson who curled his shot into the far corner and beyond David Hughes in the Harlow goal.
Shortly after this Needham goal it was apparent that the referee was unable to continue due to an injury sustained earlier in this game. With thanks to fellow qualified Official Wayne Middlemas who was present watching the match stepped in and the game continued after a minor delay.
After this unusual stoppage, the visitors threatened on several occasions. Both Read and team mate Joe Benjamin went close as Needhams precarious lead remained intact.
However, with 25 minutes played, the Hawks equalised through Read. After Needham failed to clear their lines, he was left with a simple strike from inside the penalty area.

After the break, it was a very open game as each side searched for their second goal.
Ingram was denied by a fantastic Hughes save from some 12 yards or so before crucial blocks from Danny Gay ensured it was still 1-1 at the hour mark.
But on 62 minutes, Dobson scored his and Needhams second. After Hughes rushed off his goal-line, Dobson scored from wide of the goal with another terrific curling strike. Harlows defensive attempts to deny him were in vein and his impressive debut season at the club continues.
Manager Mark Morsley brought on Kem Izzet to replace Dobson late on and resolute defending ensured all three points despite Harlows pressure.
