Match report
Ingram scores a SKIPFUL!!!

A cracking first half performance ensured all three points for the Marketmen and its a result which means that they will now be top of the pile come Christmas Day.

The Marketmen opened the scoring on 7 minutes through Joe Whights curling free kick just outside the penalty area.

This lead was soon doubled on 12 minutes through Luke Ingram after a high cross was headed over the line with Hendon goalkeeper under pressure.

On 21 minutes Spencer McCalls free kick went over the crossbar after the visitors enjoyed a bright period of possession.

Karl Oliyide then pulled a goal back for Hendon on the half hour mark, before Ingram scored his second and Needhams third goal just a minute later.

On 34 minutes Reece Dobsons pace was proving too much to handle and he was fouled in the penalty area. Needhams Captain Kem Izzet made no mistake sending Andrew McCorkell the wrong way from 12 yards.

Ingram completed a first half hat-trick when he raced through on goal before firing into the far corner to extend their lead to 5-1.

However, there was to be one more goal in this action packed first half as Hendon pulled a goal back through Karl Oliyide on 39 minutes.

Half Time: Needham Market 5-2 Hendon

The second period was a much quieter affair in comparison to the first with real chances few and far between. The guests came close to scoring when Stanislaus was denied by Danny Gay.

Substitute Jack Curtis ended his loan spell with the club after todays game and he had Needhams best second half chance when his strike went over the crossbar.
