Match report
The Marketmen welcomed Worthing to a breezy Bloomfields and it was the hosts who wasted no time in taking the lead.

John Sands was played through on goal with 5 minutes played and cooly converted beyond goalkeeper Rikki Banks. A goal which means Sands now has three goals in as many games.

Jack Cook had a good chance to equalise for the guests but his shot was straight into the arms of Danny Gay.

On 26 minutes, Omar Bugiel had the ball in the back of the net but was to be denied by the Assistants flag as Worthing were rather unfortunate to be behind.

Half Time: Needham Market 1-0 Worthing

After the interval and The Marketmens Luke Ingram had a golden opportunity to double his sides advantage. Goalkeeper Banks failed to clear his lines, but Ingrams effort from outside the penalty area was off target.

With 66 minutes played, Lloyd Dawes deservedly equalised for Worthing. Billy Holland was dispossessed in midfield and Dawes finished into the bottom corner.

Despite The Rebels having greater spells of possession in the second half, they were to be left feeling frustrated as Needham scored the winning goal on 83 minutes. Ingrams header found Holland whose powerful shot left Banks helpless. A first goal of the season for Billy Holland and another vital goal which gave the hosts all three points.

Full Time: Needham Market 2-1 Worthing
